Brief History:
Katya grew up on a small farm in Ukraine with her family. They were poor and often could only farm enough to feed themselves. When she was two a baby brother, Ivan came along. She loved the new addition very dearly and doted on him to no end. She grew up helping her mother take care of him. When she was 6, her father began letting her help in the fields, small jobs that didn't amount to much, but made her feel important. She worked hard in the field, her elegant hands becoming hard and calloused. But nevertheless, she was a happy girl. She loved her family dearly and she felt that they loved her back just as much.
Which made it all the more difficult when her mother died being thrown from a horse when she was 7. Her father was devastated and took to drinking while Katyusha became a crybaby with no self esteem. Katya took over, looking after Ivan like she was the mother instead of just the older sister. As their father descended deeper and deeper into alcoholism, the farm became more decrepit. Soon they weren't even producing enough to last them through the winter. They moved to the city soon after her mother's death, leaving the now worthless family farm forever.
Once in the city, her father met and married another woman. Katya didn't like her very much and she knew the feeling was mutual, but she tried her best to be nice. She did everything her step mother asked of her and never complained when the woman constantly berated her. She even got a job at a local farmer's market to help support the family, since their father could barely do it himself with his drunkeness. But still it wasn't enough for her step mother or to keep the small family out of debt.
Katyusha knew that she had to do something, but with no skills other than farming she didn't know what she could do to feed her family. She dropped out of school to have more time to work and tried taking in laundry and mending, even taking care of children to earn money. But it was never enough and they fell heavily into debt, the landlord threatening to throw them out. With no where else to go, she fled to America, hoping to chase the American dream and earn enough money to pay off the farm. She bid her precious younger brother goodbye and left, her heart heavy but hopeful
Once there, she got a job at a diner. It wasn't much, but it paid for the tiny apartment she lived in. She set aside a bit of every paycheck, sending it back home to the landlord so her father would still have a place to live. But the debt was large and she only had enough to postpone the inevitable. It seemed like all hope was lost and that she wouldn't be able to save her family. She began to grow depressed, her work suffering and her crying spells becoming more and more frequent.
That all changed when she met a girl at the diner named Maria. She was loud and boisterous, so different from Katyusha and the quiet Ukrainian girl was fascinated. They struck up a friendship, Katya's first since coming to this country. It was through Maria that shy little Katyusha got a job as a fashion model. She enjoys it well enough, despite feeling timid in front of the camera. She's beautiful and obedient, so many photographers and editors like having her in their shoots. It's good money and if she keeps getting jobs she'll be able to pay off a significant part of her family's debt.
Personality:
Katyusha is very, very shy, often preferring not to speak up in company because she doesn't value her own opinions very much. Despite this she is warm and motherly, loving to take care of others and fuss over them. Often to the point of depriving herself of something she wants or needs. She's very self-sacrificing, not even thinking about herself most of the time. She has a heart as big as her chest and so much love to give. But she's a crybaby who will often blame herself for anything that goes wrong. When she feels like she's messed up she's practically inconsolable, running off so that no one will laugh at her for crying.
Appearance: Katyusha is a very pretty girl with light blonde hair and big blue eyes that always seem to have tears gathering in the corner. But what's really remarkable about her is her gigantic chest. Her chesticles are so big that they should come with their own sound effects!
Fashion Style: Katyusha prefers to dress plainly when she has a say in what she wears. But because she's a fashion model and works in the fashion industry, it's essential that she stays on top of the latest trends from all the big designers. Luckily she has people whose entire job it is to tell her how to dress.
Goals: She wants to make enough money to eventually pay off her family's debts and keep the farm, but what she really wants to do with her life is to be a mother and a wife.
Secret:
When she was 20 she tried to get pregnant through IVF, but miscarried. Not she's afraid she can't have children.
She's in love with her best friend.

Katyusha looked up at the towering office building looming over her like a disapproving parent. She adjusted the strap of the messenger bag slung over her shoulder and took a deep breath. She could do this, it was only a little photo shoot. And Maria had been so kind to get her this job. She couldn't just back out now and let the Albino girl down. Maria was her only friend in this big scary city and she'd gone out of her way for her. That thought warmed her heart and put a smile on her face as she pushed through the revolving glass door into the polished lobby of the building.
Her borrowed high heels clicked over the marble floor as she approached the desk where a bored looking intern was lounging with a magazine perched on her crossed knees. At first Katya was much too scared to get her attention, figuring that the girl would notice her after awhile. But as the seconds ticked by and turned into minutes, she cleared her throat and spoke out.
“Excuse me? I'm Yekaterina Braginskaya. I'm here for an appointment?” She said, her voice barely above a whisper. The girl behind the desk eyed her disapprovingly before waving her through to a door on the left. Katya thanked her quietly and headed in that direction, heart thudding in her ample chest. Today could be a complete flop, a failure of the most disastrous proportions. It could crush her dreams and ruin her only way out of her current situation. There were so many things that could go wrong, and yet she found herself hoping beyond all logic. Because as likely as it was that this would go south...
It was just as likely that it would be the start of a new life.
