While we're changing things up around here, we might as well look at the rules, plot, and everything else.
Does anyone have and rules they would like to add, remove, change?
Do we want to make the Chatango character account specific?
Would someone like to rewrite the plot? (Jk---well kind of. We're making a new add and we need some help)
Should be have a post character minimum?
These questions and more need to be answered. What do you guys think?

I said that I might want to take a second character here, namely fem!China, and I think it would be a good idea to set a required post count to grab one. I can't think of anything else right now but I'll PM you o3o

Nooooo to the chatango~ ;A; I've maxed out my number of emails and can't make any more chatango names because of this stupid rule on other sites. Also, when new members join they sometimes already have an account from elsewhere and it might be odd to ask them to make a new one. Plus, what if you have more than one charrie? o.o;; I like to be known as chloe without a doubt... =w=; but that's just me~ *fades into background*

Post count wise it's a good 20, so that's not really bad. I don't think that should change, but maybe a max character limit? Like if you have one character, and they aren't active, then they can't take another one, since it would be specified in the rules?
Chatango account wise, it's easy to make up a email, most do it. I kinda do think it's a bit odd to have all these random accounts showing up, and most chatango users I know have at least four or five accounts. Myself having at least 10. Including my old ones I no longer use. Chatango is easy to fool, so I don't really think it's much of a issue to ask for that kind of stuff.
Character specific would be nice, but there is no really rping going right now. But as long as your account was specific enough I guess that could work.
Maybe the plot could also talk about how people are emerging? Cause to be bluntly honest as a little redneck girl I have no idea what hipster is, though I'm learning. So maybe catering to another bit of lines about how everything works, would be enticing to other people.
It's going through college, without the debt.
Uhm, I don't think there needs to be a lot of new rules or anything. Maybe a specific chatango would help, since most have them, and I think it's only a few on the site. But that's really up to them if they want to change. XD I have a account specific to me, and I barely ever use it.

Posts are good at 20, on my end.
Chat wise. I think it'd be less confusing if people have character specific accounts. Even if it's not the username, at least the display picture of the character would be nice ? And Chloe, you can make up emails. My email for this account is like .. tulip@tulip.com. Chatango doesn't care.
I also use my Nederlandslove account for every single site i'm on. It doesn't have to be site specific, just as long as its character specific.
Mmm. Plot is fine to me. I think it's cool we get to make our own stories, awwwyeaaaah.
And no new rules, everything is fine in the sushi department.

I've already griped about this, but I'll just drop it in as a neater form. I use only one Chatango account for everything, and I think it's a lot easier. Mainly because, I'd have a shit fit on my behalf if I posted using the wrong account, and secondly, I've seen a lot of people sitting on the wrong account in the chatbox before. It doesn't really help clear up confusion with me, especially if then I only know your characters, and not what your name actually is. If you're going to make the Chatango really pertaining to roleplaying, for a love of all things Antonio's ass, please then have an OOC one somewhere. Only because then the people not participating in the character chatango wouldn't have to scroll and listen to it just to say Hi in little brackets to another user.
I'm sorry, I really hate using chat roleplays and how roleplay sites handle Chatango. Though, if things do change, I'll just stop using them. I'm indifferent, I'll mold to fit to whatever is decided in the end.
I think posts to character ratio would be nice, only because then it's a general rule so people are aware and don't have to ask when the time comes. 20-25 still sounds lovely though.
Otherwise, I really don't have anything as the site as functioned swimmingly for a while without silly extra things. x)

Yeah, but see, two chatboxes on one site gets confusing.
It's not specifically for roleplaying. Well, sort of. I can talk OOC while in this account. Which is why the parentheses or brackets rule is used. x3
Alright, well, then if you're indifferent it's cool. No one would have to change their username, just their picture is fine, right ? I think that's fair. c:

Two c-boxes on one site is not confusing! You have to link the one appropriately and it works far better than attempting to smush everything into one box. Plus, in a second cbox where the name is adjustable, it would remove the obstacle of people being forced to change their name. Example: - IC c-box - the site it belongs to
You could easily make a pop-up in-character cbox for people who want to do that and not force people who don't to be shut out of conversations because of it. On that forum, the cbox is a board that auto-links. It makes it an easier server as well in case people have more than one character: they can just change the name and be set. I think this site was perfectly fine before this rule and could be still if something was added to the site to accommodate for people who want to rp-in character not forced upon everyone. I've seen way too many sites die because of IC-boxes or OOC-IC-boxes or whatever because people get lazy and don't post. I really don't want that to happen here~

To be bluntly honest, IC/OOC chatboxes are usually never used, since people get confused which one to use, and most sites use one. Character specific accounts are usually a most on any site. Even ones you can change your name on.
I think a IC/OOC box is pretty much a good thing, because separate ones are usually useless. Almost completely useless. Most Hetalia sites I've seen with a OOC and IC chat one is plagued with activity more than another. With the IC/OOC chatbox it's on the forum and less distraction. To be bluntly honest, I rather have on chatbox, cause it's just easier.
Character specific accounts aren't honestly that much of a hassle, and if you don't want to change your name, at least keeping the icon makes sense. It's not that hard to just say your name. XD I have twenty accounts and everyone knows me as Neko. The site is still fine, it just has a new rule...which really isn't all that bad or anything.
I don't know what's wrong with it honestly. XD It's on most Hetalia sites to be honest.

I can handle the icon thing regardless of name, that's cool with me. The separate chat-box idea was only in the event the current one became in character only/strongly in character encouraged. I didn't word that well on my behalf.
Though, I'll disagree on two separate ones not working well because I've seen sites with two before where both were equally loved. One crowd stayed more on one, the rest on the other. Depends the users you have, I suppose.

That's what's wrong with IC/OOC Chatbox. I've been on proboards sites for -years- now. I hate when people think that it's a better choice. The only time it works well is when you have a wide range of characters and the like. The chatbox is usually for IC. After all you can rp there. But IC and OOC usually turns into a clique like thing.
If it's both together, people get to bond easier in my opinion. I met a old admin who had 500 members on her site, and I helped her a bit before she retired. She said, "When it first started, always assume that your users are idiots. Go with the most simple, all the time." With her methods, I saw her as a kind admin, but with a firm fist, and her site was very successful. I tend to lean towards her way whenever I'm doing something. I don't think that users are idiots, but simple is always the best to go.
This includes chatboxes like that. I think the only time you should have separate chatboxes is when you have a whole boat load of members, or a collection of different members. XD
I don't like OOC and IC because who wants to deal with annoying cliques when you're just having fun? The IC accounts are easier, and I don't think it's really that big of a problem. Since that way people can rp on the chatbox and the [] or () pretty much illustrates when people are rping OOC.
XD It's up to the admins to decide what they think is better though.

The rules have been updated. There will be no second chat box. The rules are largely unchanged, but please respect the new ones. Please, no fits.
